Gravity conveyors are one of the most important and simplistic innovations in the world of material handling. Conveyors are placed at an angle, and powered by the energy of gravity, so boxes, totes, and smaller packaged goods and components can flow effortlessly along the conveyor. Since no external power sources are needed, there are great benefits in energy savings, lower operational costs and overall lower costs. These conveyor systems are an excellent choice in so many different material handling applications.
There is a variety of configured options of gravity conveyor specialized offerings. There are two major categories - roller conveyor and skate wheel conveyors. A roller conveyor uses a series of a freely rotating cylindrical roller meant to efficiently handle solid bottomed cartons and pallets. A skate wheel conveyor is a series of small spoked wheels that provide a lower frictional area great to use for efficiently moving a lighter package or for an item that has an uneven base. This is great for bridging the gaps of powered processes. This is adaptable and great for sortation and accumulation in distribution and logistics centers. This is great for picking and replenishing in a warehouse and for a manufacturing site to connect an assembly or packing workstation. They streamline gaps for manual operations and transfer efficiently to and from storage.
In engineered conveyor sytems the conveyor belt is always moving, and the products transported are automatically controlled, which results in higher speed in operations. On the other hand, in a gravity conveyor system the belt is moving automatically, but the objects transported are not controlled motorically. Which results in lower operational speed. Instead, the speed is controlled by using the inclined angles of the conveyor, which can also be adjustable, and controlled estomatically. Also, in a powered conveyor, the system has a set speed. Our product lines range from a system which has frictionless rollers to friction rollers, and ultimately a powered and a non-powered conveyor line. The incline of the conveyor is set on 15 degrees and can be reduced to control the set speed of the conveyor, and reversed. This takes over the speed controlling. The parameters which define the control system to be adjustable are the pre-defined speed of the conveyor, and the friction of the rollers. Case by case are also determined by the set control system which does not require additional hardware and the ease to use from user perspective.
Our system is constructed from very durable materials. To name a few, galvanized steel, and dust resistant powder coated framing materials. High grade polymers are also in use for the wheels and rollers to ensure extreme durability. This results in a product with low corrosion, and higher temperature changes are resisted and the continous and high pressure working scenarios, which results in very light but high pressure driven systems. Dust rip resistant conveyor systems are also tangible. In any condidtion the gravity conveyor system will not be damaged and will last for a very long time with low operational activity.
Aside from improving the operational effectiveness of an organization, the use of gravity conveyors improves the safety and the ergonomics of the workplace. This is because they reduce the amount of manual lifting, carrying, and pushing, as well as the effort that an employee must use to move, which decreases the risk of employee fatigue and musculoskeletal injuries. Gravity conveyors use a simple design, are easy to maintain, and have no motors, drives, or complicated controls. Servicing needs are minimal and include only periodic checks of the rollers, wheels and frames. The combination of safety, reliability, and affordable pricing makes gravity conveyors a smart and safe choice for businesses that want to improve the efficiency of their material handling system and reduce the operational risk.
